Planning a vacation should feel exciting — not overwhelming. But when you’re navigating destinations, resorts, logistics, and travel details, it’s easy to feel stretched thin. That’s where having a trusted travel consultant makes all the difference.

I’m Leslie, the travel consultant behind Smiles for Miles Travel. My mission is simple: to help you travel with confidence, knowing every detail has been thoughtfully planned — from your first destination questions to final boarding pass.
My Journey to Travel Consulting
I grew up on the East Coast with summers full of family travel. Those early experiences planted a deep love for exploring new places and created memories that shaped how I see the world. Later, after more than 20 years building my professional career in Los Angeles, I realized that my organizational strengths and my passion for travel naturally aligned.
Becoming a travel consultant allowed me to merge:
My professional planning and multitasking skills
A lifetime of travel curiosity
A desire to help others experience meaningful vacations
The flexibility to also be present for my family
Motherhood reshaped how I navigate life and made me even more attuned to what families, couples, and individuals need when they plan a trip. Whether you’re traveling with family, friends, as a couple, or on your own, I aim to take the stress out of planning and support you through every step.
What I Specialize In
I work closely with trusted travel partners to create personalized, seamless getaways, especially to the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Mexico.

My focus is on thoughtfully organized trips — meaning:
Every piece fits your preferences
Nothing important is overlooked
Communications are clear and timely
Whether you want to explore white–sand beaches, book an all–inclusive resort, or plan a multi–stop journey, I tailor your travel plan to your style and priorities.
What It’s Like to Work With Me
Working with a travel consultant isn’t just about booking flights and hotels. It’s about confidence and peace of mind:
Personalized planning: I learn what matters most to you — budget, timing, style, and experiences — and build a plan that reflects it.
Clear communication: You’ll always know what’s next, what’s included, and what options are available.
Support before, during, and after travel: If something unexpected comes up, I’m here to advocate for you and help resolve it.
Expert insight: From passport details to best travel times to packing decisions, I help eliminate uncertainty.
My goal is that when your vacation arrives, all you have to do is enjoy the experience — not manage it.
Who I Help
I work with travelers who want:
Stress–free planning
Personalized recommendations
Confidence in every detail
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What does a travel consultant do?
A travel consultant helps plan, organize, and manage your trip from start to finish. This includes researching destinations, recommending accommodations, coordinating logistics, and providing support before, during, and after travel so you can focus on enjoying the experience.
Why should I use a travel consultant instead of booking online myself?
Online booking sites show options — a travel consultant provides guidance. I help you avoid common mistakes, match destinations and resorts to your travel style, and step in if plans change. You’re not navigating travel decisions or disruptions alone.
Do you work with specific destinations?
Yes. I specialize in travel to Mexico, the Caribbean, and Hawaii, but also assist with other destinations depending on your needs. My goal is to help you choose the right place — not just a popular one.
Is there a fee to work with a travel consultant?
Some services include a planning or service fee, depending on the type and complexity of the trip. Fees allow me to provide personalized research, expert recommendations, and dedicated support. Any fees are discussed upfront so there are no surprises.
When should I start planning my trip?
Ideally, planning should begin several months in advance — especially for peak travel seasons, family trips, or popular destinations. That said, I’m happy to help with shorter timelines whenever possible.
Do you help during the trip if something goes wrong?
Absolutely. If you experience delays, cancellations, or unexpected changes, I’m here to assist and advocate on your behalf. Having support while traveling is one of the biggest benefits of working with a travel consultant.
Who do you typically work with?
I work with families, couples, and solo travelers who value thoughtful planning and want a stress–free travel experience. Many of my clients appreciate having a trusted professional handle the details.
How do I get started?
The first step is reaching out to discuss your travel ideas, goals, and timeline. From there, I’ll guide you through the planning process and create a trip tailored to you.
Whether you’re a first–time traveler, a seasoned vacationer, a family with littles, a couple seeking connection, or someone traveling solo, I’m here to make planning easier and your trip more meaningful.
👉 If you’re ready to travel more intentionally, without the overwhelm, I’d love to help you plan your next getaway!
